    As a fervent tennis fan, Kate Middleton has made the Wimbledon tournament a high priority in her schedule.

    Over the years, she has rarely missed this prestigious event. However, due to her cancer treatment, this year was an exception.

    Despite her absence from the courts, Kate surprised her followers by making a brief but significant Wimbledon-related appearance via social media.

    The Princess of Wales used her official Instagram profile to send an emotional message to British tennis player Andy Murray, who was retiring from the Wimbledon courts.

    Her message read: “An incredible Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud @andymurray. On behalf of all of us, thank you!” read her Instagram Stories message, which she signed off with “C” for Catherine, who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

    Murray, 37, played one of his final matches at Wimbledon on Friday, July 5. Emotional during a tribute to his career, he spoke openly about his retirement.

    “It is hard because I would love to keep playing but I can’t,” he said of the bittersweet goodbye to the sport. “Physically, it’s just too tough now. All of the injuries have added up and like I said they haven’t been insignificant.”

    Kate Middleton’s unexpected virtual reappearance shows her close attention to the tournament. Her fans long to see her again.

    Debbie Jevans, president of the AELTC (All England Lawn Tennis Club), expressed hope that the Princess of Wales would be able to present trophies in both the women’s and men’s finals.

    However, she emphasized that Kate’s health and recovery are the top priority. “We don’t know for sure,” Jevans stated. “All we have said is that we will work with her and give her as much flexibility as possible.”
