Kate Middleton drew attention Tuesday by sporting a new hairstyle and an injured hand during her visit to HMP High Down Prison in Surrey.

The wife of Prince William visited the prison located south of London to learn how the Forward Trust charity supports young inmates to recover from addictions.

The Princess of Wales, 41, sported freshly cut bangs and voluminous curls, unlike the wavy look she sported days earlier at the Rugby World Cup in France.

For this occasion, Kate again opted for a navy blue suit by Alexander McQueen, consisting of high-waisted skinny pants and a fitted blazer with pronounced shoulder pads, which she combined with a simple white top.

Kate paired her working girl outfit with $795 Gianvito Rossi suede pumps.

As for jewelry, she opted to show off her Kiki McDonough gold and diamond heart earrings valued at $2,868 and wore her custom gold midnight moon necklace by Daniella Draper with the initials of her three children which are valued at $1,400.

However, Kate’s tight locks and impeccable style were not the center of attention.

All eyes were also on her right hand, specifically her index and middle fingers which were bound with bandages.

While some expressed concern over Kate’s injury, Kensington Palace was quick to calm concerns, clarifying that a small incident on the trampoline caused the injuries.

“It’s a small injury, nothing serious,” a spokesperson confirmed.

In fact, Kate didn’t seem concerned about the damage sustained to her fingers. Although she looked uncomfortable and often touched her bandaged fingers during the hour-long visit, she still maintained her characteristic grace and cheerfulness.

As royal fans know, Kate is an avid trampoline jumper with her children. A few months ago she even said that this activity helped her stay in shape.

Luckily, bruised fingers didn’t stop Kate from fulfilling her royal duties. She spent time talking to inmates and prison staff, learning about rehab programs ahead of Addiction Awareness Week.
