The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, are confirmed to be in Scotland for the second official coronation of King Charles III.
The ceremony, although expected to be less ostentatious than the one held in London, is still of great importance to the royal family, which is why the King’s son and his wife will be present.
In addition, as heir to the throne, he also has an important role to play in the Scottish coronation to be held on 5 July in Edinburgh, the country’s capital.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will also accompany the King on his previous visit to Wales where they will fulfill various royal engagements and wear their Scottish titles.
What are Kate Middleton’s royal titles?
Although she recently took up her title of Princess of Wales, which was previously held by Princess Diana, she will not be known in Scotland by that official title.
Although that is her most “popular” title, the reality is that Kate and William inherited a number of new titles after King Charles’s accession to the throne, which are little known to the public.

The latter title, is reserved for the heir to the throne along with several others valid in Scotland.
Some of them are: Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew, Lord of the Isles, and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.
This means that Kate will also be known in Scotland as Countess of Carrick, Baroness of Renfrew, and Lady of the Isles.
