Since Princess Kate Middleton resumed her official duties after her summer vacation, she has been impressing with her formal attire and the addition of suits.
Not only has her wardrobe changed, but her style and even her hair have undergone some changes.
For example, she has debuted a new haircut and has also been sporting sophisticated hairstyles that are not so complicated to replicate.
Trick to get Kate Middleton’s waves
Social media is a great ally when it comes to recreating the outfits and hairstyles of your favorite royals, and Tik Tok has an infallible trick for looking like Prince William’s wife.
Recently, the Princess of Wales was spotted sporting a new hairstyle: her signature tousled waves with a new curtain fringe.
According to one hairstylist, it’s very easy to recreate.
Michael Van Clarke, who styled Princess Diana’s hair in the 1980s, told People magazine that Kate’s new fall hairstyle added “softness around her face and a lift to the hair”.
Added: “Fringes do require a bit more styling maintenance, but they’re very versatile.”
To achieve waves like Princess Kate’s, the stylist highlighted several tricks.
“You need to use large barrel tongs, flat irons, or even better, use a no-heat version by wrapping your hair around soft sponge rollers or even a terrycloth robe belt, which is a technique you see a lot on TikTok!” he said.
“It’s actually very easy to do! It’s basically replicating the old idea of wrapping your hair in rags, but it works.”
Van Clarke also stressed that preparation is key and urged anyone trying to recreate Kate’s look to use products that act as heat protectants and shine and curl enhancers, as well as a blow-drying spray.
