Kendall Jenner, the famous model, couldn’t believe her luck with the beautiful gowns she wore to the 2024 Met Gala. She attended the event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 6 and shared her excitement about wearing vintage French couture.
On her Instagram Stories, she posted a photo of herself in a gorgeous white Givenchy gown, saying, “Am I dreaming or am I really wearing this dress?! @givenchy.” She looked angelic in the outfit as she headed to an afterparty in Tribeca.
Jenner also showed off another gown in a video clip, revealing it was a design by Alexander McQueen from 1997. She looked stunning in the gown’s feather-like bodice and floating skirt.
Before the afterparty, Jenner wore another outfit from Alexander McQueen’s fall 1999 collection for Givenchy haute couture. She even made history by being the first person to wear a gown that was previously only on a mannequin.
A Dream Come True
Sticking to the Met Gala’s theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” Jenner’s ensemble featured intricate details like a scalloped butt cutout, beading, and a high neckline.
Speaking to Vogue on the red carpet, Jenner expressed her excitement about wearing a piece by Alexander McQueen, saying, “I made a dream list of who I would ideally want to go with, and I would have died to wear something by Alexander McQueen.”
She added, “It’s been sleeping for the last 25 years. It’s literally a ‘sleeping beauty.’ It’s such a special moment. I feel extremely honored that they’re allowing me to wear it.”
Afterparty Fun
After the gala, Jenner was spotted at the Après Met 2 Met Gala After Party with her ex, Bad Bunny. They were seen smiling together, with Jenner wearing a stylish lace mini dress by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, while Bad Bunny sported a leather ensemble.
Overall, Kendall Jenner’s night at the Met Gala was filled with stunning fashion moments and memorable celebrations.
