Queen Camilla recently received sad news – the passing of Kevin Burke at age 77. Burke was Camilla’s very first love as a teenager, forever linking him to her romantic history.
Burke enjoyed a privileged economic position as he was the son of Sir Aubrey Burke, vice president of the aircraft manufacturer Hawker Siddeley.

While brief, the relationship held great significance as Camilla lost her virginity to Burke, according to reports.
At the time, the British monarchy reportedly opposed the future heir marrying a non-virgin. So Camilla’s early relationship rendered her an unsuitable bride for Charles.
Of course, both ended up marrying other people – Camilla wed army officer Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973, while Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.
Decades later, the pair finally united when they wed in 2005 after long-running affair rumors. But Burke represented Camilla’s first intimate bonds.
Though their fling ended in heartbreak for Burke, he fondly reminisced about the young Camilla in later years.
