This Friday it was confirmed that the King and Queen of Spain will travel to England to share with the British royal family the mass in memory of Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Queen Elizabeth II.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia are part of the guests who will be present at the tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh, just a few days before the first anniversary of his death.

It was learned that the Spanish monarchs were invited, as were representatives of other European royal houses, who due to pandemic restrictions were unable to attend the funeral following the death of the Queen’s husband on April 9. For the funeral service on April 17, only 30 people were allowed to attend.
For this service, organized by Buckingham, they informed that it will be held on March 29 at Westminster Abbey, the same place where Queen Elizabeth and Philip were married on November 20, 1947.
For his part, the last time the Spanish kings traveled to London was in June 2019, at that time King Felipe received from the hands of Queen Elizabeth the distinction of knighthood of the Order of the Garter.
