The British royal family published this Tuesday a photo montage for the celebration of the 75th birthday of King Charles III.
Notably missing from the video tribute, however, were appearances by Charles’ daughters-in-law and grandchildren.

King Charles’ 75th birthday tribute video
The 40-second video shared on the monarchy’s social media included photos of Charles throughout his life, from infancy to the present.
It featured images with his parents, siblings, and sons William and Harry.
Yet his daughters-in-law Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were conspicuously absent from the montage.
Charles’ five grandchildren including William and Kate’s three children and Harry and Meghan’s two kids were also not pictured.
Their exclusion is especially surprising given Charles’ warm public statements about them since becoming king.
He expressed his “love for Harry and Meghan as they build their life overseas,” and recently called Kate his “beloved daughter-in-law.”
Meanwhile, William and Kate posted their own birthday tribute to Charles with photos of him with their family.

Harry’s strained relationship with his father and stepmother Camilla has been heavily scrutinized.
Yet Charles did include a photo with ex-wife Princess Diana and one alongside Prince Andrew, who stepped back from royal duties over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Selective exclusions caused much intrigue among royal supporters. For many, the absences hint at something else beneath the surface.
