The revelation that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer has sparked intense speculation about the monarch’s condition and possible treatment options.

In an interview for GB News, royal biographer Tom Bower made the startling claim that King Charles could refuse conventional cancer therapies like chemotherapy due to his longtime advocacy of alternative medicine.

    Could King Charles refuse chemotherapy?

Bower, who has written an unauthorized biography of King Charles, stated that “He would not be one for chemotherapy. He’s always argued against it.”

Instead, Bower believes King Charles will likely pursue treatment with “natural herbs and potions” at the recommendation of Michael Dixon, a former physician who Charles has championed in promoting alternative medicine.

“He’s a great believer in natural herbs and potions and things like that.”

While chemotherapy and radiation are standard medical treatments for cancer, Bower worries that shunning these conventional options in favor of alternative remedies “won’t provide the cure which conventional medicine would.”

However, the Palace Buckingham has not released specifics on King Charles’ diagnosis beyond confirming he has a form of the disease, nor have they indicated what treatment path he will take.

Bower speculates that King Charles retreated to Sandringham Estate not only for privacy during this health challenge, but to undergo alternative cancer treatments away from the public eye.

And while Charles is reportedly in good spirits, Bower’s statements raise serious questions about whether the monarch will opt for conventional medical therapies as he battles cancer.
