On June 1, The King’s Foundation revealed that Beckham, 49, has become her new ambassador.
King Charles, now 75, established the charity back in 1990 when he was the Prince of Wales, aiming to foster better communities where people, places, and the planet can thrive together.

Recently, the ex-England soccer captain visited King Charles’ Highgrove Gardens in Gloucestershire.
There, he met with the King to delve into the foundation’s mission and explore its educational workshops.
The King’s Foundation offers courses to about 15,000 students annually and health and well-being programs for another 2,000 people each year.
The foundation also spearheads regeneration projects across the U.K. and abroad, revitalizing communities and preserving historic buildings.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Beckham shared, “I’m excited to be working with The King’s Foundation and to have the opportunity to help raise awareness of the charity’s work. I’ve always been keen to help young people to expand their horizons and I’m particularly looking forward to supporting the Foundation’s education programs and its efforts to ensure young people have greater access to nature. He added, “Having grown to love the countryside, I’m also personally eager to learn more about rural skills, which are central to the foundation’s work.”
Reflecting on his visit to Highgrove Gardens, Beckham remarked on the inspiration he drew from King Charles discussing the foundation’s work and their shared interest in beekeeping.
Beckham has been vocal about his beekeeping hobby on social media, a passion he shares with Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla.
During his time at Highgrove Gardens, the grounds of the King’s private estate, Beckham met students involved in woodworking classes at the Snowdon School of Furniture through the King’s Foundation. He also met students from the Métiers d’art Embroidery Fellowship, a program run in collaboration with CHANEL and Le19M.
In the past, Beckham has supported other royal-linked initiatives, such as presenting at the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in Boston in December 2022, a prestigious environmental award created by Prince William.
The Times first reported on the meeting between the King and Beckham in May, noting it occurred shortly after Prince Harry’s brief visit to the U.K. for the 10-year anniversary service of the Invictus Games.
