King Charles has surprised many royal fans by revealing his little-known hobby.
Recently, King Charles visited the Global Underwater Hub in Aberdeenshire, where he had the opportunity to view exhibits demonstrating underwater diving technology, 3D underwater imaging and eco-friendly artificial reefs that provide underwater protection and enhance biodiversity.
According to People magazine, the Global Underwater Hub is the UK’s leading business and industry development organization for the underwater sector.
It represents companies operating in the country’s subsea industry, demonstrating King Charles’ commitment to the development and promotion of the sector.
Is King Charles a diver?
Taking advantage of this official visit, the Royal Family’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) shared some photos of the monarch scuba diving, an activity that piqued the curiosity of his followers.
In a retrospective photo, King Charles can be seen in scuba gear as he dives into the icy waters to explore the wreck of the Mary Rose, Henry VIII’s warship.
This dive was made nine times before the ship was recovered from the seabed in 1982, the social network explained.
While King Charles’ interests were known to include gardening and organic farming, his love of scuba diving was a well-kept secret.
Although this passion was kept secret from many, the king did not hesitate to share his love of diving with his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, who have also tried their hand at the discipline on several occasions.
The discovery of this unknown hobby of King Charles has aroused the interest and admiration of many, as it demonstrates his love for nature and his desire to explore and protect the treasures found under the sea.
