King Charles and Queen Camilla are taking time to enjoy the flowers.

On May 20, the King, 75, and Queen, 76, visited the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show in London.

They were joined by other royals: the Duke of Gloucester and his wife, the Duchess of Gloucester, as well as Prince Michael of Kent and his wife, Princess Michael.

The group was welcomed by RHS President Keith Weed before exploring the gardens and displays, including a special “No Adults Allowed Garden” designed by children from Sulivan Primary School.

During the visit, Queen Camilla posed with statues of her dogs, Bluebell and Beth, made from wicker.

The Jack Russell Terriers, both rescues from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, have been part of her official activities and even appeared on her coronation gown as embroidered gold dogs.

Queen Camilla also mentioned she had watched the TV show “Bridgerton.” “I watched the first lot,” she said, according to royal reporter Rebecca English.

This visit was special because it was announced earlier this month that King Charles, an avid gardener, is the new patron of the Royal Horticultural Society.

King Charles has recently been busy with more royal duties after starting his cancer treatment.

He joked during a May 9 visit to the Royal School of Military Engineering that he was happy to be “out of my cage.”

The Chelsea Flower Show kicks off the summer season of events in London.

The royal family regularly attends this annual event, which started in 1913 and is now one of the world’s top showcases for gardening excellence.

This year, Lady Amelia Windsor made her first contribution to the Chelsea Flower Show.

She teamed up with Kent Wildflower Seeds for a garden display.

Lady Amelia, the granddaughter of the Duke of Kent and second cousin once removed of King Charles, is 43rd in line to the throne.

She visited the garden on May 20 wearing a gingham dress and white sneakers.

Kate Middleton, who is currently away from the public eye due to cancer treatment, also loves the Chelsea Flower Show.

In 2019, she helped design a “Back to Nature” garden that focused on the benefits of outdoor play.

Her family enjoyed the garden, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis having fun on a rope swing, dipping their toes in a creek, and exploring a treehouse.

Queen Elizabeth, who passed away in 2022, also visited Kate’s garden and commented, “It’s very tidy.”
