King Charles and Queen Camilla have made a strategic stop after their recent trip to Australia and Samoa.

The 75-year-old monarch and the 77-year-old queen had a series of intense experiences during their itinerary through the Oceania countries, which took place from October 18 to 26.

However, this trip also raised concerns about the king’s health, as it was mentioned that he decided to pause his cancer treatment while on the trip.

Now, it has emerged that the two have decided to make a short stopover in India to enjoy a few days at a luxurious holistic spa.

In a trip that has gone unnoticed, Charles and his wife opted to unwind in India after returning from Samoa, reports the British newspaper Daily Mail.

They chose Soukya, an exclusive spa in Bangalore, where accommodation costs approximately $3,500 per week.

“Their Majesties had a short private stopover in India to help break the long journey back from Samoa. They return to the U.K. this morning,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The spa is a familiar place for Camilla, who had been there three days before leaving for Australia, so she was able to enjoy her treatments both on the way to and from her trip.

Soukya is known for attracting a celebrity clientele, including actress Emma Thompson, and is run by Dr. Issac Mathai, who has been a therapist to King Charles III for several decades.

The spa has a strict schedule, beginning with morning yoga sessions, followed by a healthy breakfast and rejuvenating treatments before a nourishing vegetarian lunch.

In the afternoon, a variety of therapies are available to guests, and a final meditation session takes place before dinner. Lights out is at 09:00 in the evening, at which time everyone should retire to their rooms.

The palace has clarified that the treatments Charles is undergoing in India are not related to his cancer. The king will continue his chemotherapy in London.
