Everything seems to indicate that King Emeritus Juan Carlos I will be back in Spain on December 17. The ‘Socialité’ Chelo García Cortés assured that this will be the day for the return of the controversial father of King Felipe.
The collaborator of the Spanish program ‘Sálvame Diario’, is very sure of the possible return of the emeritus.
“In principle, there was another date, about the 11th or the 12th, (of December), but I can say that, for several months, a team of people has moved to Dubai to prepare everything and that on December 17 I can return to Spain.”
The Socialite said on Saturday that the 83 year old king would be in his country for the celebration of the Christmas holidays with his family, the first since in 2020 he left for the Arab Emirates amid controversy over legal investigations into the growth of his fortune.
“The exact day that the king emeritus will come home for Christmas is December 17.” García Cortés said.
This weekend, Infanta Elena was at Madrid Horse Week and when asked about her father’s return date she did not deny or clarify anything. As for Cristina, she just said, “I have no idea.”
It remains only to wait to confirm if Chelo Garcia’s sources are right and the king would spend Christmas with his family.
