This February 14, thousands of couples around the world will celebrate Valentine’s Day. The date is very special for those who wish to express their love, including royalty.
The King and Queen of Spain, after more than 18 years of marriage, can still be seen in love. This was demonstrated in the most recent trip to Asturias where they shared moments of complicity. However, due to their work obligations, they have had to modify their Valentine’s Day celebration this year.
King Felipe and Letizia on Valentine’s Day
The Spanish Royal House reported that the kings will have to spend that day separately. It was learned that the head of State has several royal affairs planned. The monarch will start the day with several audiences at the Royal Palace of El Pardo and will close his agenda at the Zarzuela Palace, with a meeting with Andrés Allamand Zavala, Ibero-American secretary general.
The Queen has no events scheduled in her agenda, so Felipe and Letizia may dedicate a few minutes to a brief but emotional meeting, as have been the last celebrations of the Spanish monarchs.
On Wednesday, the Queen will resume her duties and will receive at the Zarzuela a representation of Atresmedia and the Mutua Madrileña Foundation, which will present a report on gender violence.
