Despite insults, mud and bad timing, King Felipe and Queen Letizia plan to return to Valencia
Recently, during their visit to Valencia, one of the regions hardest hit by the floods that have tragically caused more than 200 deaths, King Felipe and Queen Letizia faced complicated moments.
After that controversial visit, both have focused on solving the problems affecting many victims, especially the lack of aid.
The way in which the King and Queen remained calm in the midst of adversity and offered comfort to the citizens who approached them has been widely praised.

Although the visit to Paiporta was tense, the Spanish press reports that the King and Queen wish to return to offer support to the victims.
King Felipe’s empathy and Queen Letizia’s sensitivity have not gone unnoticed; they have adapted their agendas to prioritize everything related to the flood crisis.
On November 4, Felipe VI was at the headquarters of the Military Emergency Unit in Torrejón de Ardoz, where he chaired a meeting of the Crisis Committee.
Although Felipe and Letizia’s goal is to return to Valencia to offer their support to the population, for now they are being cautious and assessing the situation before setting new dates and locations for their next visit.
While new dates for the next visit are being defined, the King will receive at the Zarzuela Palace representatives of various business, insurance and financial confederations, as well as the main trade union organizations, in order to analyze the aftermath of this catastrophe in the affected communities.
