In an unexpected appearance that surprised the people of Madrid, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were spotted enjoying an intimate evening at one of their favorite restaurants in the capital.
After a period of rest, the royal couple decided to celebrate their return to Madrid with a dinner at La Lonja del Mar, an establishment located just a stone’s throw from the Royal Palace.

The venue, known for its exquisite seafood offerings, is the work of Chef Fernando Negri. With breathtaking views of the palace complex, La Lonja del Mar has become a go-to spot for lovers of fine dining.
“From Huelva prawns to carabineros from the Strait, you can find it all here,” commented a regular patron.
This is not the first time the monarchs have chosen this culinary haven for their getaways. Back in 2016, after their vacation, they were seen at the same place. However, there was a notable difference this time.
“Queen Letizia seemed much more relaxed and smiling,” observed a witness. “She used to appear more reserved, but now she greeted people naturally.”
Their departure from the restaurant became quite an event. Surprised passersby didn’t hesitate to approach and greet the royal couple.
This dinner alone marks a brief respite in the busy schedule of the King and Queen. With their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, about to resume their studies in different locations, Felipe and Letizia seem eager to make the most of these quiet moments before diving back into their official commitments.
The last time they were seen together off the agenda was in March when they visited the Doré Cinema in the Antón Martín neighborhood.
