Last Saturday, July 27, King Felipe VI, 56, arrived in Palma de Mallorca to participate in the Copa del Rey Mapfre sailing competition and enjoy other summer activities.
During his stay he has enjoyed his “bachelorhood” and there is evidence to prove it.
A video circulating on social networks reveals one of the monarch’s most relaxed moments when he is not sailing.
In the clip, Felipe VI joins a group of people to enjoy a concert, shows a more informal and accessible side of the King of Spain.
King Felipe Singing in Mallorca
The event took place on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 31. The King, with his usual simplicity and naturalness, enjoyed Jaime Anglada’s performance at the Real Club Náutico de Palma.
After several hours of sailing, Felipe VI anchored the Aifos, the Navy ship in which he sails, and, after chatting with some crew members in the club’s cafeteria, he joined the concert as a spectator.
In the video circulating on the social media X, the King can be seen in the audience, spontaneously singing the iconic song “Un velero llamado Libertad” by José Luis Perales, interpreted on this occasion by Jaime Anglada, a close friend of the monarch.
Felipe VI, who stood out among those present for his height, was wearing the nautical uniform of his team: white T-shirt, beige shorts, cap with the distinctive of his boat, menorquinas and sunglasses.

This was a plan among friends, as Queen Letizia, 51, had paused her schedule in Mallorca to attend the Paris Olympics, taking over from her daughters, Princess Leonor, 18, and Infanta Sofia, 17.
During his summer stays in Palma, the King has enjoyed several performances by the artist, with whom he has been friends for years.
Last Wednesday, Felipe VI stayed at the concert for about 20 minutes, during which time he took some photos with his cell phone. Then, driving his own car, he headed to Marivent, the summer residence of the Royal Family.
