This Thursday, June 1, 2023, was marked on the calendar as a special day for the Jordanian royal family. Hundreds of guests began to fill the Zahran Palace and of all of them, it is worth mentioning the presence of Juan Carlos, 86 years old, and Sofia, 84 years old, representing the Spanish crown.
King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia at royal wedding in Jordan
While Juan Carlos I arrived this morning in Amman, the capital of Jordan, from Abu Dhabi, Sofia did the same although she has traveled from Madrid.
The couple had the opportunity to enjoy a private meeting and then be seen in public with the rest of the guests. The emeritus kings closed the royal parade, the images showed that their relationship is more distant than ever.
The emeritus king wore an elegant dark suit and has not separated from the person who helps him with his mobility problems.
Meanwhile, Sofia went ahead after her brief chat with Rania without even waiting for him, something that has attracted much attention.
Once inside the temple, the emeritus has occupied the second row just behind Maxima and William of Holland and at no time they have been seen exchanging a word.
Queen Sofia’s dress at the royal wedding in Jordan
For such an important date, the grandmother of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia decided to rescue the best of her closet. Specifically, she wore a pink Dior dress with ruffles that the emeritus wore for the first time almost 20 years ago.
Queen Sofia has completed her style with stunning jewelry: a choker of sapphires and diamonds and matching earrings that have already been worn on some occasions, Letizia.
The emeritus also wore a brooch of the French jeweler Sterlé, yellow gold, with a large cabochon-cut sapphire in the center and small diamonds and turquoises. It was a gift from Franco to Sofia of Greece on the occasion of her wedding to Juan Carlos.
