As things stand, Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of Edinburgh, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, will remain far from the British royal family.
However, the prospects for her and her brother may change sooner or later.
The 19-year-old did not receive royal titles at the request of her parents, who wanted her and her brother, James, to live as normal a life as possible.
Now, with King Charles III’s desire to reduce the number of working members of the royal family, it seems that the wish of Lady Louise’s parents will be more than just a fact.
Will Lady Louise be working for royalty?
The young woman, who is currently a student at St. Andrew’s University, may find her future tied to her famous family.
A royal expert consulted by the British newspaper Express revealed what Louise’s working future could be and how important she could be to the family.
“The likelihood is that Lady Louise will work for a living, as her mother, the Duchess of Edinburgh, once anticipated,” he said Richard Fitzwilliams royal expert.
“It remains true, however, that if she does perform royal duties in the future, it would be of great significance to the royal family, as only four working royals are currently under 70 and they will therefore be performing fewer duties for fewer charitable institutions.”
It is possible that the Duke of Edinburgh’s children may eventually be considered for active membership in the royal family.
Some royal supporters have even suggested that younger members of the family, such as Louise, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, should be asked to take on more royal responsibilities.
Only time will tell whether they will be an active part of the monarchy as William and Kate’s children grow up.
