In 2007, the long-awaited trial for the death of Princess Diana and her lover Dodi Al Fayed took place. In this judicial investigation, an image of the princess came to light, moments before the Mercedes-Benz W140 S-Class crashed into pillar 13 in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel at a speed of 120 mph.
The photo was taken by photographer Jacques Langevin in Paris on the night of August 31, 1997, shortly before the fatal accident that killed Diana.
The image could have been taken after the couple left the Ritz Hotel in Paris, heading towards Rue Cambon or when they were already inside the Pont de l’Alma.
