The Infanta Sofia became one of the prominent figures on Sunday night when the Spanish national team made history by winning the European Championship for the fourth time.

Accompanied by her father, King Felipe VI, she enjoyed the thrilling England v Spain match from the box, reflecting her well-known passion for soccer.

Despite not having traveled to Berlin, Princess Leonor did not miss the official reception for the champions at the Zarzuela Palace.

The two sisters, along with King Felipe and Queen Letizia, surprised everyone by welcoming the players wearing the official jerseys of the Spanish National Team, both with the number 10, in honor of the player Dani Olmo, who prevented a crucial England goal in the last minutes of the match.

The daughters of the King and Queen of Spain combined their national team jerseys with white pants.

Princess Leonor chose a pair of tight-fitting pants with a zipper at the bottom, while Sofia opted for high-waisted cargo pants, following one of the most popular trends among youngsters.

Leonor also wanted to pay tribute to the national team with her shoes, selecting a Joma design in the colors of Spain.

She completed her look with golden earrings from the CxC brand, which belong to her mother’s jewelry box and which Queen Letizia had worn on a visit to Valencia.

After the greeting in the Audience Hall, the royal family and the players moved to the courtyard to pose for the media.

In a significant moment, Alvaro Morata presented the King with a jersey bearing the number four, representing Spain’s four victories in the European Championship, with the inscription “Kings of Europe”.

During this presentation, a curious interaction took place between Queen Letizia and Infanta Sofia.

As the King, Leonor and Letizia posed with the T-shirt, Sofia initially resisted holding it. With her mother’s gentle insistence, she finally agreed to pose with the gift from the national team.

A similar scene was repeated on Sunday night when the King and the Infanta celebrated with the players on the field. Felipe VI, moved, handed the trophy to Sofia to lift, but she, shyly, preferred to remain in the background.

On this occasion, however, she did hold the cup next to her sister Leonor, reliving a photograph that was taken 12 years ago.

During the meeting, Leonor and Sofia remained united, showing their support and joy. King Felipe VI expressed his gratitude to the players for their triumph and conveyed his happiness.

Afterwards, the champions headed to the bus to continue with the scheduled celebrations, sharing the historic victory with all of Spain.
