Queen Letizia once again demonstrated her love for the seventh art with an unexpected visit to the headquarters of the Film Academy in Madrid this Friday.
The wife of King Felipe of Spain came to attend a meeting starring acclaimed director Martin Scorsese with filmmaker Rodrigo Cortés.
A pleasant surprise for the attendees who were able to enjoy the presence of the sovereign.
Queen Letizia and Martin Scorsese met again
It is not the first time that Letizia coincides with Scorsese, as they already saw each other in 2018 when the director received the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts.
On that occasion the Queen was present at several events, demonstrating the interest she has always shown in the world of cinema.
Five years later, Letizia Ortiz did not want to miss the opportunity to return to greet the nominee for ten Oscars for his latest film “Killers of the Flower Moon”.
An almost secret and exclusive meeting for members of the Academy to which an exception had been made so that the wife of Felipe VI could attend.
Wearing a white and pink look ideal for the Madrid winter, Letizia followed Scorsese’s words with great attention in a lively talk presented by the Spanish director, producer, screenwriter, and writer Rodrigo Cortés in front of a devoted audience that gave her a standing ovation.

Alongside the Queen was the president of the Film Academy, Fernando Méndez-Leite, with whom she may have taken the opportunity to talk about the imminent Goya Awards since the King and Queen have not yet attended any of their galas.
This lightning and unannounced visit of Queen Letizia once again highlights the excellent relationship between the Royal House and the world of cinema in Spain.
