Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s attendance at a key royal event has gone viral once again after a video from Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee surfaced on TikTok.
This moment marked the couple’s first major royal engagement since stepping down from their official roles in the monarchy back in 2020.
The pair left their royal duties and relocated to the United States, citing tensions with the British press and family members. Their decision to publicly share their experiences—most notably in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021—sent shockwaves around the world.
In that interview, Meghan revealed several personal details, including the fact that she had not made Princess Kate cry, as the tabloids reported, but instead had been the one who was upset. She also mentioned a conversation where a royal family member expressed concerns about the skin color of her unborn child.
Following the Oprah interview, tensions between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family grew, and speculation about their relationship dominated headlines.
That’s why their attendance at the Jubilee, particularly at the service of thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral, was so significant—it was their first public appearance alongside senior royals since leaving.

A resurfaced TikTok video shows Harry and Meghan entering the cathedral hand in hand, escorted by a military official. Meghan, dressed in a striking all-white ensemble designed by Christian Dior, caught many eyes. Her outfit—a belted coat dress with a nod to British tailoring—was paired with a matching sculpted hat and heels, both also by Dior.
The couple was seated in the second row, behind working royals like the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, while senior royals, including Prince William, Princess Kate, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla, sat in the front row.
The video, captioned “All eyes were on them, oh they are so powerful,” has garnered over 107,000 views on TikTok, along with numerous comments.
Admirers praised Meghan’s style and the couple’s commanding presence, with one user commenting, “Meghan is killing that look,” and another adding, “This was a powerful appearance. Meghan looked iconic.”
Despite their brief visit, Harry and Meghan quickly returned to the United States after the Jubilee. Meghan only returned to the UK for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral and has not been back since.
