Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received an urgent warning from police that their sprawling $14 million Montecito mansion could be a prime target for burglars.

The warning follows a recent spate of burglaries at luxury homes near their neighborhood.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office said the thieves are targeting unoccupied mansions backing up to open spaces like golf courses or waterways.

This certainly describes Harry and Meghan’s palatial home, which sits on a secluded hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

With the Sussexes often traveling and the home left empty, authorities said the burglars strike between 6 pm and 10 pm, forcing safes to steal jewelry, cash, and other valuables.

This warning comes on the heels of Harry and Meghan’s trip to Jamaica for the Bob Marley film premiere.

As they mingled with local leaders, among them the Jamaican prime minister who is anti-monarchist.

Likely Harry and Meghan have nothing to worry about since they have a $2 million security detail, so they probably may have already had thieves on their radar.

The Sussex residence has faced 6 security alarms in just over a year – including 2 trespasser scares.

After all, no wonder they take threats seriously, splurging on top-tier protection for their family.

With Meghan’s priceless jewelry collection and both their royal status, the Sussex home is a tempting target.

This latest thieves’ spree so nearby explains the fresh warnings for the family to be vigilant.

Fortunately, the seasoned security squad has things under control. But they’ll be keeping a close eye out, as the lavish Montecito mansion remains a potential jewel for thieves prowling the neighborhood.
