However, this time it was Sophie Trudeau who revealed the truth about the alleged close friendship between her and Meghan.
Are Meghan Markle and Sophie Trudeau friends?
The former first lady of Canada minimized the friendship between her and Meghan, which left more than one with his mouth open: “I know her… but we haven’t spent much time together,” she said.
Sophie made this statement during an exclusive interview with The Times.
That revelation is at odds with what Prince Harry’s wife said, who said that Sophie was a “dear friend”.

Meghan took the opportunity to tell several anecdotes.
One of them is how they met in 2016 at Toronto Fashion Week when Meghan was starring in Suits.
Meghan also told how they had spent an “exciting” family day where the kids played by the pool while they “Splashed in the water, then threw some pool floats in.”
The Duchess also claimed they drank wine on the terrace of the Montecito mansion and “giggled like schoolgirls” having “girl talk.”
During the podcast, Meghan claimed that Sophie had become a dear friend.
There were more details of that supposedly close friendship, Meghan claimed that she always looked to the former first lady of Canada for advice and that Sophie used to send her “little meditations” during her pregnancy and voice notes “of encouragement.”
But Sophie, who was previously married to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, downplayed her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex.
Trudeau’s remarks come amid the launch campaign for Markle’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan sent 50 celebrities a sample of her strawberry jam and they have responded by advertising her on social media.
