The excitement over the launch of As Ever, Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle brand, was so great that it ended in unexpected disappointment for many of her fans.
Within minutes of the first products going on sale – including a wild honeycomb honey valued at $28 – the website crashed under an avalanche of orders.
As a result, dozens of buyers were left without their products, even after completing the transaction.
Meghan Markle apologizes
The situation generated annoyance, but also a direct and empathetic response from Meghan herself, who wrote a personal message to those affected.
In the email sent by the company, the actress thanked the support and acknowledged the problem. “My goodness, what a whirlwind this week has been! Thank you so much for the support. It really means so much to me,” she expressed.
He sincerely regretted the inability to fulfill some shipments and assured that the team had been working hard at all levels.
What will happen to those who were left without orders?
Shoppers who were left without their orders will not only receive a full refund, but will also be able to choose another product from the brand as a gift.
In addition, Markle promised that, as compensation, they will be the first to receive items from the upcoming collection without the need to place a new order.
“It will come to you in the mail as a gift from me,” she concluded in her note.
Although the initial chaos put a strain on As Ever’s logistics, fans were quick to react with understanding and praise for the duchess.
Some users on social media noted the “excellent customer service” and celebrated the success of the brand’s debut, though others admitted their sadness at not getting the coveted honey.
Meghan Markle’s jam is “liquid”
However, it hasn’t all been sweetness for As Ever. Another of the flagship products, a raspberry fruit spread inspired by a homemade recipe of Meghan’s, has caused controversy for its unusually runny texture.
The product, which cannot legally be labeled as “jam” because it does not meet the official sugar-to-fruit ratio, has generated mixed reviews among shoppers.
Some influencers pointed out that the consistency is more like a sauce than a traditional jam, suggesting it would be better as a topping for ice cream or desserts.
As Ever’s own website clarifies that the spread was “crafted with a fluid texture so it can be drizzled, spread, poured and enjoyed for so much more than your morning toast.”
In an episode of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the duchess explained that she prefers a recipe with less sugar so that the flavor of the fruit is more appreciated.

Still, some critics consider the product “too sweet,” while others described it as a “perfect sour jam.”
Media outlets such as the Daily Mail were not so generous. In their review, they called the consistency of the product “very runny” and said it drained from the utensil “like a sauce.”
About the taste, they noted that it was so sweet that it masked the flavor of the bread, with only sugar and a hint of lemon predominating.
