No one can escape the furor that Taylor Swift’s tour has unleashed. Meghan Markle, attended the performance of the famous singer in Los Angeles last Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
The Duchess of Sussex joined the audience at the SoFi Stadium as she enjoyed the show of the singer, who performed as part of her “Eras Tour” world tour.
Meghan Markle at the Taylor Swift concert
As published by People magazine, the duchess attended the concert, along with her best British friend Lucy Fraser, and did not hesitate to sing songs like “You Belong with Me”.
Markle’s appearance at the concert has been widely commented on by the media, as it is the first public appearance after celebrating her birthday last August 4.
Meghan and Harry attended a dinner the night before at the Italian restaurant Tre Lune in Montecito.
While some have criticized the Duchess’s appearance at the concert for the lack of privacy involved, many others have praised her support of music and popular culture.
Either way, Meghan Markle’s attendance at Taylor Swift’s concert is certainly an event that has captured the public’s attention and is likely to remain a topic of conversation for some time to come.
This particular show of support from Meghan for Taylor comes weeks after it was revealed that the singer declined to appear on ‘Archetypes’, the Duchess’s podcast.
The podcast was removed from Spotify after just 12 episodes in its first season. A lack of productivity was reportedly the reason for the contract termination.
Lucy Fraser and Meghan Markle
Lucy Fraser was the adventure partner while Meghan was single. The two would frantically travel around Europe in the summers in search of thrills and fun.
Lucy appeared in the Meghan and Harry documentary released on Netflix last December and is also a big supporter of the duchess.
Fraser even went so far as to accuse the British monarchy of using Meghan as a “scapegoat” to deflect negative press about other royals.
