The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has reappeared publicly in California smiling behind the wheel of her car, shortly after learning of King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis.
For his part, Prince Harry made a fleeting trip to the United Kingdom to visit his father, amid concerns about his health. His brother William did not join him.

Wearing a wide smile and visibly relaxed, Meghan Markle was seen in public again this week on the streets of Montecito, California.
The actress, decked out in a cap and sunglasses, drove her black Range Rover with a cup of coffee in hand, proving to be oblivious to the concern in the British royal family after King Charles III was diagnosed with an as-yet-unidentified form of cancer.
Meanwhile, her husband Prince Harry did travel to the UK to visit his father and show his support.
His visit, however, was very brief, lasting only half an hour according to the British media.
After spending a night in a London hotel, the royal returned to his residence in the United States to meet with Meghan and prepare for his imminent trip to Canada.
Despite speculation about a possible rapprochement between the siblings, the truth is that Harry has not met during this visit neither with Prince William nor with Kate Middleton, who is resting after an abdominal operation.
A gesture that for royal experts confirms the great distance still existing in the royal family.
For Charlie Ray, editor-in-chief of the royal section of the ‘Sun’, it is unlikely that Meghan Markle will ever set foot in the United Kingdom again, as he assures that there is a deep rift in the family.
So, while Meghan Markle continues with her life in California, apparently oblivious to the situation in the UK, while Prince Harry shows his support for his father, but still fails to build bridges with the rest of the British royal family.
