It seems that Meghan Markle hasn’t lost her taste for surprising us on Instagram.
She recently shared the first glimpse of the second season of With Love, Meghan, her lifestyle series for Netflix.
The trailer is set to drop on August 26 and promises more of what we saw in the first season… although, let’s be honest, according to the numbers, that wasn’t a resounding success with critics.
In the images, Meghan appears cooking and chatting with famous friends, such as Tan France from Queer Eye and Chrissy Teigen, as well as a parade of guests including Christina Tosi, David Chang, Clare Smyth, and even chef José Andrés.
Between laughs and recipes, she utters a phrase that sums up the spirit of the show: “I love the idea of just spending time together… and finding new ways to show people you care.”
The premiere coincides with some significant news, Harry and Meghan have just signed a new deal with Netflix.
It’s not as lucrative as the million-dollar contract they signed in 2020, but it ensures that the platform will have first dibs on their future projects.
From the outside, it seems like a more modest step, but it’s also a way to remain in the spotlight without the pressure of huge exclusives.
The curious thing is that, despite not topping the rankings—the first season didn’t even make it into Netflix’s top 300 this year—Meghan continues to bet on this format.
Perhaps that’s the key to Meghan’s success: she’s not looking to compete with the big premieres, but rather to build her own space, between recipes, intimate conversations, and that “perfect home” aesthetic she loves so much.
