During her recent appearance on the Aspire With Emma Grede podcast, Meghan Markle once again discussed her relationship with the media and her time with the British royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex, accompanied by the entrepreneur and founder of Skims, shared her thoughts on her public image, saying that if she could start over, the only thing she would change would be to tell the truth about herself.
She also recalled some advice from her close friend Serena Williams, who told her, “A lie can’t live forever.”

Markle said that after leaving the royal family, she felt she had regained her voice, especially when she returned to social media.
She said Instagram gave her the opportunity to express herself freely and authentically.
The Duchess of Sussex recently posted a video showing her pregnant alongside Prince Harry dancing in a hospital room while they were trying to induce the birth of their daughter Lilibet. The clip was shared as a celebration of the girl’s fourth birthday.
The post, however, sparked controversy. Critics of the royal family called the video embarrassing and contradictory to the couple’s previous statements about privacy.
In response to this criticism, Meghan defended the post, saying it was a reflection of her real life.
“Did you see my ‘Baby Momma’ dance? That wasn’t yesterday, that was four years ago,” she said on the podcast.
She added that, beyond the external noise, her intention was to show what really happens behind the scenes: an authentic, joyful, and unscripted life.
