Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix cooking show, “With Love, Meghan,” has stirred controversy after fans noticed striking similarities to Pamela Anderson’s show that premiered February 24 in the United States, “Pamela’s Cooking With Love” on Food Network Canada.
The discussion ignited on social media, where users debated whether the Duchess of Sussex had taken too much inspiration from the former Baywatch star’s concept.
Pamela Anderson and Meghan Markle Cooking Show
Initially, Markle’s series was set to premiere in January, but due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, its release was pushed back to March 4.
Meanwhile, Anderson’s series premiered on February 24 in the United States, making the coincidence of the two projects all the more intriguing.
What truly caught fans’ attention, however, were the similarities between the two productions.
From their nearly identical titles to trailers featuring the hosts cooking, selecting fresh ingredients, and inviting celebrity guests, many couldn’t ignore the overlap.
Some social media users were quick to criticize Markle. “Pamela is highlighting the people with talent that she is eager to learn from, Markle is high jacking the talent of others and passing it off as all her own ideas!” one person commented on X (formerly Twitter).
Another added, “The first thing I noticed is how she highlights the people around her as opposed to the only focal point being herself like a certain grifter we know.”
Another user said, “Pamela has something Meghan doesn’t—authenticity.”
Others, however, turned the argument around, suggesting that Anderson, at 57, could have been the one borrowing ideas from Markle, 43.
It should be noted, the filming of Pamela’s show took place in the summer of 2023 and premiered in 2024 on Food Network Canada.
“It’s so sweet of Pamela to copy Meghan’s cooking show idea and make it her own,” a user wrote sarcastically.
Adding fuel to the debate, the promotional trailers for both shows featured nearly identical messaging.
In Anderson’s teaser, she reflects on her love for cooking, stating, “I love to cook. I just have always wanted to take things to another level.”
If you watch the trailer for Pamela’s new show, it’s a more authentic version of what Meghan was trying to achieve & it looks as though Meghan has copied everything! The trailers are so similar it’s freaky. 👀👀👀

Similarly, Markle’s trailer includes a line where she says, “I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it.”
Pamela Anderson’s cooking show is comprised of eight episodes just like Meghan Markle’s cooking show.
While Pamela’s episodes are one hour long, the episodes of Meghan’s series are 33 minutes long.
As the release date of With Loven, Meghan approaches, the controversy continues to grow.
