Meghan Markle doesn’t get out of one controversy to get into another. After it was revealed that the Spotify platform announced that her podcast “Archetypes” would not have a second season. Now it was known that she was not entirely honest about the way the interviews were conducted.
“Archetypes” premiered its first episode on August 23, 2022, with the first interviewee being the Duchess’s friend and tennis star Serena Williams.
In total, it consisted of 12 episodes that addressed topics related to motherhood, pregnancy, and the labels commonly applied to women.
“People will know my true self in this and probably the self they have never come to know. Certainly not in recent years, where everything has been seen through the lens of the media,” Meghan said at the time.

Meghan Markle did not conduct all the interviews for her podcast
Industry sources claim that Meghan had the program staff members conduct the interviews before editing her voice audio into the final episodes.
This information was published on the Podnews podcast website and reviewed by the Daily Mail.
The British publication indicates that Podnews did not specify any particular episode where this situation could have been applied.
However, in August of last year, Allison Yarrow, a New York journalist who was invited to the podcast, revealed that she did not speak with Meghan, but with a production member.
Spotify and Meghan Markle
Spotify and Meghan and Harry’s production company released a joint statement announcing their decision not to renew “Archetypes” for a second season.
They declared that the decision had been jointly made.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had reportedly signed a $20 million deal with the platform.
However, experts close to the streaming giant claimed that the royal couple failed to meet the productivity required to receive full payment, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
Despite not having her podcast at the moment, Meghan would be searching for new sources of income and working on several projects.
Rumours suggest that she plans to relaunch “The Tig,” her lifestyle website, and it has also been reported that she could become the new face of the high-fashion brand Dior.
