Meghan Markle should consider becoming a politician because she is a “diplomat” and an “ambassador,” according to one of her former “Suits” co-stars.
Erika Alexander, 54, who acted alongside Meghan in the legal drama, believes Meghan, 42, has the bravery to take on big causes, especially after speaking out against the Royal Family.
She said Meghan has the voice, drive, and experience to be a senator, noting that she has been “an activist” throughout her life.
Could Meghan Markle Be a Future Political Leader?
When asked if Meghan could become a political leader, Erika told The Sun: “I think so. She was doing great work as an activist before she got engaged. She’d be a great senator or Congress person. It’s a great way to represent America, the world, and even Britain.”
Erika enthusiastically added, “Run, run! I’ll come and help run that campaign. We’ll have a great time and maybe even wear a tiara!”
Meghan and Harry’s Presidential-Like Tour
Meghan and Harry recently returned to LA after a tour in Nigeria.
Their visit was described as “presidential” by many, with heavy security and a detailed schedule.
Journalist Ian Gallagher noted Meghan appeared as a “sure-footed global stateswoman,” suggesting her potential in politics isn’t far-fetched.
Meghan’s Past Struggles and Activism
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan revealed she felt “fed to the wolves,” bullied, and silenced, leading her and Harry to leave the Royal Family.
Erika Alexander praised Meghan for her courage, comparing her scrutiny to that faced by Michael Jackson.
“She’s a diplomat and an ambassador. I think she should see herself that way,” Erika said. “It’s important she stands for herself and doesn’t get overwhelmed. She’s a challenge, and I think she’s up for it.”
Erika also discussed Meghan and Harry’s revelation that a Royal Family member questioned Archie’s skin color before he was born.
“Everyone has biases,” Erika said. “These conversations happen all the time, especially in America. It’s important to bring them up and discuss them.”
Erika praised Meghan’s role in the success of “Suits,” calling her a star who brought attention to the series. “Before she was a princess, she was an actress,” Erika noted.
