Prince Harry has revealed that his brother, Prince William reacted well to learning of Meghan Markle’s first pregnancy. According to what he has told in his book ‘Spare’, Harry broke the news to her at St. George’s Hall during the wedding party of his cousin, Princess Eugenie, in the fall of 2018.
Although Prince Harry’s memoir has brought much controversy, it also brings emotional and very meaningful moments for Meghan Markle’s husband.
Harry reveals to his brother that Meghan Markle was pregnant
The Duke of Sussex details that they were in a large room with armor on the walls, for Harry it was a “Strange room, strange time.” Diana and Charles’ best son told his brother the news quietly and the brother “smiled and said ‘we must tell Kate’.”
Then, even though Princess Kate Middleton was busy, they went to find her to tell her the good news:
“She also flashed a big smile and a warm congratulations,” Harry has recalled. “They both reacted exactly as I expected, as I wished,” he said.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Harry and Meghan’s son, was born on May 6, 2019. In his autobiography, the prince also recounts the moment he spoke to his father about Meghan’s pregnancy.
Harry recounts that the news was given to him at Windsor Castle and that his father, King Charles III was delighted to learn that he was going to be a grandfather for the fourth time; “His broad smile made me happy,” Harry has assured.
For his part, Harry found out he was going to be a father for the first time after Meghan took several home pregnancy tests. In his book, he revealed that he fell asleep.
When he woke up he saw that Meghan had left the test wands on his bedside table next to the blue box with Princess Diana’s hair, whom Harry thanked at the time.
