Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be in danger of losing their $15 million home in Montecito.
The trouble started because of a legal battle about Prince Harry’s visa in the United States.
Prince Harry Faces Deportation: Montecito Mansion in Danger
Last year, the Heritage Foundation filed a lawsuit. They want the Biden administration to reveal Harry’s US visa records.
The main question is whether Harry mentioned his past drug use on his visa application.
This became a big deal after Harry talked about his drug experiences in his book “Spare,” which came out in January 2023.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams spoke to The Sun about how bad this could be for Harry.
He said, “It will be very embarrassing if Harry didn’t mention his drug use on his visa form. It would make headlines, and that’s not good for Harry and Meghan.”
Fitzwilliams also mentioned that their frequent criticism of the Royal Family could make things worse for them.
“If you attack an institution, people will think you are being hypocritical if they find out you did something wrong,” he said.
If the visa issue gets worse, Harry could be deported from the US. This would mean leaving their dream home in California, where they live with their children, Archie and Lilibet.
Drug use can cause visa applications to be denied. However, immigration officers can decide based on different factors.
A US judge is looking at the case now, and a decision is expected soon.
The Department of Homeland Security said that Harry’s visa information should stay private and won’t be revealed during President Biden’s time in office.
