Four years after leaving the British royal family, Meghan Markle appears to be reconsidering the way she distanced herself from the monarchy.
In 2020, Meghan, along with her husband Prince Harry and son Archie, moved to the United States following a controversy that marked her departure from the royals.
The situation escalated further when Meghan and Harry gave an exclusive interview to Oprah Winfrey, where they shared sensitive details about their experience within the royal family.
Meghan Markle renounces monarchy
Recently, a royal expert pointed out that Meghan might be unhappy with the developments following her decision to leave royal life.
Kinsey Schofield, a commentator and royal family specialist, claimed to the New York Post that Meghan regrets certain comments she made during her exit.
“Meghan does regret certain statements that she made. They weren’t received in the way that she had expected and several of her comments have backfired.”
In addition, according to Schofield, both Meghan and Prince Harry are saddened by the controversy over racism in royalty.
“She and Prince Harry deeply regret the royal racist controversy. Meghan wanted the takeaway from their Oprah interview to be about her mental health.”
Likewise, the expert mentioned that Meghan might regret her decision to sit down with The Cut magazine, as it gave rise to criticism and comments that have further complicated her situation.
“And I think Meghan regretted sitting down with the Cut because she provided endless commentary for her critics,” she added.
Meghan’s life in Montecito, California, is described by Schofield as isolated but organized.
“I would describe Meghan’s personal life in California as isolated but structured,” Schofield told the outlet. “The qualifications to be her friend are no secret … she typically gravitates towards people that can offer her something, contribute to her personal goals.”
Schofield does not anticipate Meghan returning to Britain anytime soon, even though Harry made a surprise appearance at his uncle’s funeral recently.
However, the duchess continues to move forward in her life. Soon, the official launch of her new brand, America Riviera Orchard, is expected.
“If American Riviera Orchard becomes a well-oiled machine and keeps Meghan busy, she will find joy in that work,” Schofield commented.
In addition, in a recent interview, Meghan highlighted her entrepreneurial side by revealing that she has invested in at least ten fashion brands.
These initiatives mark a new chapter in her life, highlighting her desire to grow and advance her career while navigating the complexities of her past with the royal family.
