Meghan of Sussex By Robert Marquez

Meghan Markle’s potential return to UK: Will it close the gap or widen the chasm with the royal family?

Speculation is rife as Meghan Markle considers a potential return to the UK, a move that could either mend bridges or deepen rifts within the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex, who has kept her distance from the monarchy since her and Prince Harry’s bombshell departure, may join her husband to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games in London this May.

Rumors of Meghan’s return have sparked a whirlwind of reactions, with some hoping for a reunion that could heal old wounds, while others remain skeptical about her intentions.

According to sources, Prince Harry is keen to present a united front with his entire family, including Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during the Invictus Games celebrations.

However, Meghan’s reservations about visiting the UK are well-documented.

Omid Scobie’s book “Endgame” claims that she “never really felt at home” in the country and “never wants to step foot in England again.”

While the Sussexes have distanced themselves from the book, the sentiment may still linger, as a source suggests to OK!:

“I think Meghan knows that she hasn’t been wanted in the past, so why would it be any different this time around?”

Despite the tensions, there is hope that King Charles III’s battle with cancer could serve as a catalyst for reconciliation.

Frequent communication and virtual meetings are expected to pave the way for Meghan’s potential visit.

Royal expert Jennie Bond believes a family visit could be possible but with limitations on who the Sussexes would interact with.

“They would be confined, I think, to meetings with Charles – and perhaps Eugenie and Beatrice,” she speculated, adding that other royals might be hesitant to renew friendships, fearing disloyalty to Prince William and Catherine, the Princess of Wales.

The potential visit could be the first step in a larger plan for the Sussexes to reintegrate into the royal fold gradually.

Sources indicate that both sides welcome the move, with no intention of forcing it upon the family.

“Everyone has agreed that now is the right time to come together, bury the past, and move forward positively,” the source said to OK!

Should Meghan decide to join Harry in the UK, it could determine the couple’s future within the monarchy.

“It is going to be a real test to see whether the couple can make it work – and repair relations with the royal family, as well as the British people,” the source added.

As the Invictus Games draw closer, the world watches with bated breath to see if Meghan will leap, and whether her potential return will bridge gaps or widen the chasm between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.
