Meghan Markle returned to New York and did so with a broad smile, a light linen suit and a confession that made the audience laugh.
Meghan’s visit coincided with the 7th birthday of Prince Louis, the youngest of William and Kate’s children.
Meghan Markle at the Time100 Summit
During her appearance at the Time100 Summit, the Duchess of Sussex told that her son Archie is about to lose his first tooth.
Not something you’d expect to hear at a forum on global influence, but Meghan mentioned it.
“I just hope I’m back home in time for it!” the Duchess said.
The appearance took place at Frederick P. Rose Hall in Manhattan. Meghan arrived accompanied by Prince Harry. She looked relaxed and happy.
She said she was in a moment of fulfillment, and didn’t seem to say it out of commitment.
“I never would have imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful, and I really do.” She attributed it to her family life and a husband she said is deeply supportive.
Although neither she nor Harry were included on the Time100 list this year, Meghan was one of the voices invited to speak in front of leaders and celebrities. She is listed on the event’s website as “founder of As Ever, actress and producer.”
The gathering brought together such diverse names as Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos and actor Ryan Reynolds. Serena Williams and comedian Rainn Wilson were also in attendance.
The duchess did not confirm whether she would attend the Time100 Gala, a more glamorous ceremony to be held the following day hosted by Snoop Dogg.
A few days ago she was spotted in New York, entering a performance of the musical Gypsy on Broadway, protected by a convoy of four vehicles. She also dined with friends at the Polo Bar, a restaurant frequented by celebrities in Midtown.
