Royal author Tom Bower has made the explosive claim that Meghan Markle is “desperate to have her say” following the backlash over Omid Scobie’s controversial book “Endgame.”
In an interview with Closer magazine, Bower asserts that Meghan has been left feeling “bruised” by the criticism aimed at Scobie’s book, which contained unflattering allegations about Kate Middleton.
Will Meghan Markle write a book to “correct” misunderstandings?
Bower contends that in light of the negative reaction, Meghan now wants to set the record straight by writing her memoir.
He alleges that “as she feels more and more bruised as the year goes on, Meghan is going to want to have her say.”
The royal expert believes Meghan will want to “correct the impressions” that she collaborated closely with Scobie on the writing of “Endgame.”
Cruel claims made in Scobie’s book included the royal family “treating Kate like a child” and comparing her to a “Stepford-like royal.”
The Sussexes themselves made damaging allegations about racism within the royal family during their 2021 Oprah interview. According to Bower, Meghan likely “fed” Scobie the names of the two royals accused of racism.
While Scobie denies being close friends with Meghan, he admits to having “mutual friends” who provide information. Bower says he has “no doubt” Meghan was one of these sources.
With Harry’s memoir “Spare” also sparking controversy last year, 2024 was meant to herald a fresh start for the Sussexes. However, experts warn the couple is unlikely to be offered “redemption” anytime soon.
Phil Dampier predicts Meghan may launch a Gwyneth Paltrow-style lifestyle brand rather than pen her own tell-all.
But Bower insists that Meghan’s memoir is unavoidable.
