After her commented video appearance for a TED talk by her friend, photographer Misan Harriman and hours later her presence at an NBA basketball game, Meghan Markle is back in the news and not because of her alleged cosmetic surgeries, but because she has signed with the global entertainment agency WME.
The Duchess of Sussex seems to want to secure her career by signing with one of the most important and influential talent agencies in the U.S. entertainment industry.
What is WME, the agency that signed Meghan Markle?
WME is one of the leading talent agencies in the Hollywood entertainment industry. Founded in 2009 through the merger of the prestigious William Morris Agency and Endeavor, it has a wide range of clients in areas such as film, television, music, literature, and sports.
Some of the most famous artists that have been represented by WME include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Lady Gaga, Charlize Theron, Christian Bale, Oprah Winfrey, Adele, and Bruno Mars, among others. The agency is also known for representing elite athletes such as NBA star Lebron James.
Recently, the WME agency has been expanding its horizons and has started representing influencers and social media personalities in its client roster.

Meghan Markle is now part of the long list of famous people and celebrities who rely on WME’s talent to manage their careers.
According to information from Variety, Meghan Markle’s team will consist of Endeavor power broker turned CEO Ari Emanuel, Brad Slater, rep and brand architect, and Serena Williams’ agent Jill Smoller. The agency’s work will be to explore film and television production, brand partnerships, and general business building.
Is it possible that, with this move, Markle is thinking about returning to being one of the most acclaimed faces on the small screen?
In this sense, the agency clarified that it “will be focusing on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency & its broader ecosystem, including film & television production, brand partnerships & more”, so this new agreement not only benefits the Duchess, WME will now represent Archewell Productions, which is Prince Harry’s content creation label.
Will Meghan Markle return to TV?
One thing Meghan Markle fans should know is that acting will not be an area of focus for the agency, so a return of the former actress to TV series is ruled out.
