Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has once again become the subject of controversy over the treatment of her employees.
This is not the first time Meghan’s name has been associated with negative comments about her character and the allegedly inappropriate way she interacts with those who work for her.
Recent reports have reignited these concerns, revealing allegations that have emerged after several years.
What’s wrong with Meghan Markle’s employees?
A new report has labeled Meghan’s attitude towards her staff in striking and troubling terms. According to an article in ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, it has been claimed that Markle “terrorizes” her workers.
A source close to the couple even described her as “a dictator” who has brought many employees.
“She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders. I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”
The controversial revelations emerged just before Prince Harry celebrated his 40th birthday. Within the framework of these claims, a source noted that “everyone is terrified of Meghan,” referring to the work climate that has been noticed among the staff.
This type of behavior not only affects the work environment but has also generated a very high turnover among the employees of the duke and duchess.
The report highlights that Meghan tends to belittle people, does not accept advice, and, together with Harry, makes wrong decisions, changing them frequently.
Although Harry is described as charming and unpretentious, he is mentioned as an enabler of his wife’s behavior.
Another source added to these claims, indicating that “she is absolutely relentless,” marching with an authoritarian attitude and abruptly issuing orders, which has led some to experience deep emotional stress.
The work history of her employees indicates that many do not stay long in their positions, a fact that was evidenced by the recent resignation of an assistant shortly before a trip to Colombia.
In August, one of Harry and Meghan’s most important aides, chief of staff Josh Kettler, left his post just three months after taking over.
Since her brief stint in the monarchy, Meghan has dealt with numerous criticisms about her behavior, earning her the nickname “the complicated duchess.”
In 2018, Buckingham Palace launched an investigation into her treatment of two royal attendants. The allegations included accusations of ongoing harassment and belittling, leaving the workers feeling “traumatized” and, in some cases, likening their experiences to symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
However, the findings of that research were never made public, leaving a veil of uncertainty about the true work environment under her command.
Meghan Markle’s relationship with her employees has been a recurring topic in the press, reigniting debates about her character and leadership style. Allegations of her authoritarian and inconsiderate behavior continue to generate media attention.
