The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, made a controversial gesture during her visit to the Hillcrest Community Centre in Vancouver, Canada, where she accompanied Prince Harry on the third and final day of the Invictus One Year To Go Games celebrations.
The event, which brought together families of Canadian Armed Forces veterans and Invictus alumni, was also attended by singer Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato.
The singer was encouraged to practice curling in a wheelchair with the Duke of Sussex.
Meghan Markle’s gesture in Canada
Meghan Markle stood on the sidelines, surrounded by game officials and Michael Bublé’s wife.
That’s when a young woman approached her and said something to her that made the Duchess smile.
However, when the young woman walked away, Meghan’s expression changed drastically, going from joy to seriousness and even anger.
This change of attitude was caught on camera and quickly went viral on social networks, especially on X (former Twitter).
Many users criticized Prince Harry’s wife for her alleged fakeness and fake humor.
Others, however, defended her and praised her commitment to the Invictus Games, which will be held next year and will include winter sports for the first time.
