Although details are scarce, Meghan Markle’s new project with Netflix has already generated criticism.
Recently, the Duchess of Sussex completed filming a food-centric series for the popular streaming platform.
Following the launch of ‘American Riviera Orchard’, Markle announced that she was working on a production that seeks to celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, as well as the value of friendship and entertaining.
Why is Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show being criticized?
However, not everyone shares the enthusiasm; Sky News Australia presenter Rita Panahi has expressed her lack of interest in the premiere.
Markle’s new cooking and lifestyle show, which has no official title or release date yet, is part of a multi-million dollar deal with the Sussexes and has been filmed near their residence in Montecito, Los Angeles.
Meghan Markle’s new Netflix project has drawn criticism for its approach.
At least that’s what has generated unfavorable comments, such as those from host Rita Panahi, who harshly expressed that the proposal “sounds terrible.”
She scathingly added: “It’s apparently going to focus on the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship and I’ve gotta say, it sounds bloody awful.”
In addition, the Duchess of Sussex has faced criticism following the announcement of her new business initiative in March, which included the launch of an Instagram page and profile, leaving followers waiting for updates on the official availability of the products and their sale.
Among the announced products are three varieties of jam and dog cookies, and news has recently gained interest that Markle may launch a rosé wine, although no official confirmation of its release has yet been made.
