Meghan goes all out. The Duchess of Sussex doesn’t seem to stop, and now she’s surprising everyone with a new podcast called “Confessions of a Female Founder.”
After her first podcast with Spotify, “Archetypes,” ended after just one season, Meghan is back with this new project that promises candid conversations with successful female entrepreneurs.
As she announced on social media, “‘I’m so excited to share with you something else I’ve been working on: Confessions of a Female Founder, my new podcast with @lemonadamedia!’ I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses. They’re opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and setbacks), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As Ever.”
Why are they criticizing the name of Meghan Markle’s new podcast?
As expected, news of the podcast didn’t come without its dose of drama. The reason? Some social media users accused Meghan of “drawing too much inspiration” from an existing podcast called “Confessions of a CEO,” as reported by NewsWeek.
The comments were quick to follow. “Maybe you would like to know, Meghan Markle has ripped off another woman’s podcast called Confessions of a CEO,” wrote someone on X (formerly Twitter).
Other users were just as direct: “Tell me you don’t have a single original thought without telling me you don’t have a single original thought,” or “copycats again,” and even harsher accusations like “Stealing ideas again” and “Meghan keeps plagiarizing ideas from real smart, talented women.” Well, well!
It looks like Meghan has shifted into fifth gear and decided to conquer 2025. She kicked off the year by debuting a new Instagram account to share her projects.
She also rebranded her American Riviera Orchard brand as As Ever. And, to top it off, she launched her cooking show on Netflix, “With love, Meghan.” Despite some criticism, the show became a hit on the platform and already has a second season confirmed for the fall.
So, while some criticize her for lacking originality, Meghan is moving forward, building her empire and proving that she will stop at nothing. What is clear is that Meghan Markle knows how to generate conversation, for better or worse.
