Contrary to what many expected, the beginning of the year has not exactly been a bed of roses for Meghan Markle.
Although at the start of 2025, the Duchess of Sussex announced exciting news, such as the premiere of her new show on Netflix and the launch of her Instagram account, things haven’t gone as planned.
One of the first signs that things weren’t moving at the expected pace was the decision to delay her lifestyle show, “With Love, Meghan”, as we report here on RoyalFamily.news
But that’s not all; now she’s facing a new setback with her podcast.
What happened to Meghan Markle’s podcast?
In February 2024, Meghan signed a deal with Lemonada Media to launch a new podcast series, after Spotify decided not to renew her deal for a second season of “Archetypes.”
Although the new podcast was scheduled to come out last year, Meghan had to postpone its launch.
Reportedly, Lemonada was having difficulty getting off the starting line, as The New York Post reported.
A source mentioned that Markle’s return to the podcast world would have to wait.
Apparently, similar to the delay of her lifestyle show on Netflix, the podcast launch was also affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Details about the new series are still a mystery, except for the fact that Markle will be the host.
Meghan has a lot of work ahead of her, especially if she wants to clean up her image after some of her former workers accused her of creating an uncomfortable work environment.
Several anonymous sources who spoke to Vanity Fair described the work experience as “really, really, really awful. Very painful.”
One of the sources even said that Meghan was “constantly playing checkers—I’m not even going to say chess—but she’s just very aware of where everybody is on her board.” This suggests a work environment where tensions are palpable.
This is not the first time the Duchess of Sussex has been accused of being somewhat confrontational. Since her time in the British monarchy, she has dragged that negative reputation.
Prince Harry’s wife has not found peace in other aspects of her business life either.
Although she introduced her American Riviera Orchard brand last year, there is still no clear information about the launch date or the products customers can expect.
Although Meghan started the year with high expectations, she has encountered several obstacles in her path.
The challenge seems to be staying grounded and adapting to change while trying to get her projects off the ground and, at the same time, dispel the shadows that haunt her reputation.
Markle’s life has never been easy, and it looks like this year is no exception.
