Meghan Markle’s podcast for Spotify already has a release date. Recall that in 2020 the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a million-dollar contract with the audio platform, now the project has become a reality.
Prince Harry‘s wife will be in charge of her own podcast, as confirmed through the website of her foundation, Archewell.
When will Meghan Markle’s podcast be released on Spotify?
Spotify users will be able to listen to the Meghan-led podcast next summer, where the duchess will attempt to confront “the age of misinformation.”
“We are encouraged by the ongoing conversations we have had with Spotify on this shared goal and have been working closely with their team, as well as their leadership, towards policies, practices and strategies aimed at building creator awareness, minimizing misinformation and supporting transparency,” the statement reads.
The union of Archewell Audio and Spotify will have a global reach of 144 million premium subscribers and 320 million monthly active users worldwide.
According to British media, the contract signed between the Sussexes and Spotify in December 2020 was for $25 million and so far only a 30 minute special hosted by Meghan and Harry has been made public.
