Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has seen her popularity in the United Kingdom reach an all-time low, according to a recent opinion poll conducted by YouGov.
Over the years, Meghan has faced considerable controversy and media scrutiny, which has significantly impacted her public perception.

Meghan Markle’s popularity in the UK falls
The poll revealed that approximately 70% of Britons now view her negatively, with her net favorability rating plummeting to a record low of -47%.
In contrast to Meghan’s declining popularity, Princess Anne has emerged as the most popular member of the Royal Family among the British public.
Princess Royal enjoys a strong positive perception, with a net favorability rating of 60%. Her enduring popularity reflects the respect and admiration she has garnered over the years.

The poll also shed light on the favorability of other members of the Royal Family. Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, experienced a modest decrease in his favorability, dropping two percentage points to -36% compared to -34% in April.
Notably, King Charles’ favorability rating slumped to 32%. However, when he succeeded Queen Elizabeth II as the monarch last September, his favorability rose to 48%, benefiting from the traditional “Coronation bounce.”
In contrast, Queen Camilla, the wife of Prince Charles, did not share in the Coronation glory. Her net favorability suffered a five-point decline, standing at 4%.

Amidst these shifts in favorability, Prince William and Princess Kate experienced slight increases in their net favorability.
Prince William recorded a favorability rating of 57%, while Princess Kate garnered a rating of 59%.
Interestingly, the poll revealed that the institution of the monarchy as a whole has seen a slight improvement in public opinion since the coronation.
The overall favorability of the monarchy increased to 25% from 19% in April, indicating a growing acceptance and support for the British royal family among the population.
