Meghan Markle’s last summer vacation
That summer, Meghan wanted to embark on an epic European vacation with her closest friends. Among them was Lucy Fraser, who appeared in the Netflix docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan’, where she revealed that those vacations were “single girl summer”.
“Had a lot of plans of going to Europe” before she even met Harry, said Fraser.
No one thought it would be Meghan’s last vacation as a single woman, no one knew that fate would bring a Hollywood actress together with a Prince and that love would intensify.
“I was really intent on being single and just [having] fun girl-time,” Meghan said about the summer she met Harry.
The photos from that trip with her friends disappeared along with Meghan’s Instagram account once her romance with Prince Harry was made public.
There was also no trace left of the accounts of those trips that she posted on her “defunct” lifestyle blog: The Tig.
Prince Harry meets Meghan in July 2016
It was precisely on Instagram that Harry had his first encounter with Meghan, thanks to a mutual friend.
From there, the first exchanges of messages and the desire to meet in person arose.
Soon, this became a reality and the two met at the Dean Street Townhouse, located in London’s Soho, where they enjoyed two nights of dinner, marking the beginning of their relationship.
Harry and Meghan’s love grew stronger during a trip to Botswana, a country dear to the prince’s heart. That trip would mark the couple’s destiny.
According to Harry, it was an absolutely wonderful experience as they camped under the stars, and being alone allowed them to get to know each other better.
The only known photo from that trip was made public in the Netflix documentary series and is a photograph of Meghan captured by Harry.
Harry and Meghan got engaged in November 2017 after more than a year together.
They then married in 2018 and have since welcomed two children, Archie in May 2019 and Lilibet in June 2021.
