Miguel Urdangarin, 20, the son of the Infanta Cristina, 57, and Iñaki Urdangarin, 55, has unwittingly starred in a tender moment that was immortalized in an image.
The last Greek king, Queen Sofia’s brother, 86, died last January 10, 2023 due to a cerebral hemorrhage, six days later the funeral ceremonies were held in his honor. Although it was not a state funeral, it was attended by representatives of most of the royal houses of Europe.
One of these royal houses was that of the Borbones. The emeritus kings, King Felipe, Queen Letizia and the Infantas with their respective children were present to accompany Doña Sofía on the death of her brother.

After the Orthodox ceremony in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, all the guests moved to the Tatoi Palace to bury the mortal remains of Constantine. It was on this journey that Miguel Urdangarin had a tender gesture with his mother.
Miguel Urdangarin consoles Infanta Cristina
Miguel, the third son of the Infanta Cristina, was at all times by his mother’s side and in one of the images in the cemetery of Tatoi can be seen as he takes her arm and gives her a tender kiss on the hand, a gesture of support to try to mitigate the sadness for the loss of his beloved uncle.
It should be noted that the Infanta Cristina grew up with Alexia of Greece and Denmark, Constantine’s daughter, who was the Infanta’s best friend. In fact, the infanta Cristina is the godmother of Arrietta, Alexia’s eldest daughter, while Alexia is the godmother of Pablo Urdangarin, so they are united by a great feeling.
The Infanta was not the only one who was visibly affected, Queen Emeritus Sofia was also saddened, as were other royals present.
